How to Use
How to Use Your Dust Cruiser
Congratulations on your Dust Cruiser! Follow this guide to get up and running safely and get the best clean possible from your machine.
Before you start
Please read this entire guide before operating your Dust Cruiser for the first time. This machine is designed for use by adults on flat, hard floor surfaces such as warehouses, workshops, showrooms, and large commercial spaces.
- The operator must be a physically capable adult, aged 18 or over
- Wear appropriate footwear — no open-toed shoes while operating
- Ensure the area is clear of obstacles, loose cables, and hazards before use
- Never use on steep inclines, wet outdoor surfaces, or soft flooring
Step-by-step operation
Unbox and inspect
Remove all packaging materials. Check the unit for any shipping damage. Confirm all accessories are present: scrubbing brush, squeegee blade, water tank, key, and charger cable.
Charge the battery
Before first use, charge the battery fully using the supplied charger. Connect to a standard outlet and to the machine's charge port. A full charge typically takes 6–8 hours. Do not use the machine while charging.
Fill the clean water tank
Remove the tank cap and fill with clean water. If required, add the recommended cleaning solution at the dilution ratio on the label — do not exceed the recommended amount.
Install the scrubbing brush or pad
Align the brush or pad with the drive plate underneath the machine. Press firmly and rotate until it clicks into place. Ensure it is fully seated before powering on.
Power on and adjust settings
Insert the key and turn to the ON position. Use the control panel to set your cleaning mode, brush pressure, and water flow rate. Start on a lower setting for delicate floors.
Begin cleaning
Sit in the operator seat and apply gentle forward pressure on the drive lever. Guide the Dust Cruiser in straight, overlapping passes for the most efficient clean. The squeegee blade collects dirty water behind the brush.
Empty the dirty water tank
Monitor the dirty water tank indicator on the dash. When full, stop the machine, locate the dirty water drain hose, and empty into an appropriate drain.
Post-use cleaning & storage
After each use: drain and rinse the clean water tank, remove and rinse the brush or pad, wipe the squeegee blade, and store in a cool dry place. Recharge the battery after every use.
Maintenance tips
- Inspect and clean the squeegee blade before every use — debris reduces suction performance
- Replace the scrubbing pad when it shows visible wear (typically every 50–100 operating hours)
- Check tyre pressure monthly if your model has pneumatic tyres
- Service the battery annually or as advised in your model's manual
- Use only manufacturer-approved cleaning solutions to avoid damaging internal components
Troubleshooting
Safety warnings
- Do not allow children or untrained persons to operate the machine
- Do not use on stairs, ramps greater than 5°, or uneven terrain
- Do not operate in areas with flammable gases or liquids
- Always engage the parking brake when leaving the machine unattended
- Do not modify the machine in any way — modifications void the warranty and create safety risks
